There’s nothing quite like the thrill of translating a wild idea into something you can actually touch.
That’s exactly what we did when Dove and That Good Co. approached us with a request: build a custom bar table for an upcoming event. The twist?
The design came from artificial intelligence.

Project Overview

This custom bar table’s initial concept was born out of Midjourney prompts and a designer’s curious mind. What we received was a vision sculpted by code: organic curves, a futuristic silhouette, the kind of thing you expect to see floating in a 3D render, not sitting confidently in a real room.

This wasn’t just a request for another custom wood table — it was a challenge to merge algorithmic design with real-world fabrication, blending cutting-edge 3D interior modeling with tangible craftsmanship.

The Challenge:
Bringing AI-Generated Design to Life

There was an existing bar base that had to stay. The budget? Tight. The timeline? Tighter.
And the final piece had to be both lightweight for transport and tough enough for a real-world crowd.

Pre-existing Bar Base

The digital render featured organic curves and sculptural asymmetry — an eye-catching concept but logistically difficult to produce. Our team had to:

  • Integrate a custom bar structure into a pre-existing venue layout
  • Maintain the bespoke furniture aesthetic without compromising structural integrity
  • Deliver within a tight production schedule — without sacrificing quality or design intent

Instead of chasing materials that didn’t want to cooperate, we built smart.

A custom shell gave us the structure we needed and the finish with a woodgrain effect, shaped and detailed by hand, echoed the warm, textural depth of the AI’s vision. It was our way of marrying the digital and the tactile without compromise.

Digital Sketch of Custom Bar Table

From Digital Sketch to Tangible Statement

Leveraging our expertise in bespoke furniture making, we translated the AI-generated 3D interior model into a buildable form. We used a hybrid workflow that included digital visualization, material prototyping, and physical iteration to ensure the final piece aligned with the client’s brand and the space’s atmosphere. Our solution combined digital precision with handcrafted finish:

  • A CNC-carved frame designed to mimic fluid, AI-generated contours
  • Lightweight composite materials for portability and strength
  • A hand-finished woodgrain texture to reflect natural warmth while staying event-durabl

This was more than just custom furniture. It was digital imagination, reinterpreted with real-world purpose. A showpiece that didn’t forget it had a job to do.

The Result

The final custom bar table didn’t just hold drinks. It held attention. Set against the event’s sleek backdrop, it played the part of sculpture, surface, and spark for conversation. The kind of piece that gets guests asking, “Where did you find this?” — and the kind of answer that begins with, “Actually, we built it.”

We didn’t just recreate a render. We gave an AI’s fleeting idea real shape, a bit of grit, and a place in the world.

In Media

The piece’s unique blend of AI-generated design and handcrafted execution caught the eye of the media as well. It was featured in an article titled “From Algorithm to Artifact: The Story Behind an AI-Generated Bar Table“, highlighting how digital imagination can be grounded in real-world purpose.

What This Project Meant for Us

This wasn’t just a fabrication job — it was a test of what happens when technology meets tactile reality. Projects like this push us, and that’s the point. They remind us that imagination doesn’t need to stay locked in a screen. With the right approach, even algorithmic daydreams can take up space.

Got a concept that feels too ambitious or out-there? Let’s talk — we’re always up for the challenge.
